Help / Guide
How Fluinto works
Getting started
- Create an account or log in with your email/SSO.
- Profiles: students learn; teachers host. You can hold both roles on the same account.
- Set your learning language in your profile so matching and content use the right language.
Academic & Professional Language Support
- What it is: Academic support in the sciences—helping students build deeper understanding and confidence in challenging material.
- Teacher matching: one dedicated teacher per subject; you can hold up to 3 subjects at once.
- Locks and limits: each subject is locked for ~30 days; session limits apply per subject per week/day to keep pacing steady.
- Language vs Academic: language practice stays separate (conversational lessons). Academic sessions are subject-only and do not mix with language practice.
Trial tokens
- Trial tokens let you book real classes before subscribing.
- A trial is only consumed when you book a class (not when browsing or joining a lobby).
- You can see remaining trials on your profile/account area; if they run out, use a subscription or drop-in.
Booking a class (step-by-step)
- Open Schedule.
- Pick an available slot.
- Confirm booking. Eligibility (trial / subscription / drop-in) is checked automatically.
- Only booking consumes a trial; browsing does not.
Joining a class
- The Join class button shows on the Schedule page on your booked session card.
- It only activates shortly before start time to keep timing accurate.
- Open the card near start time, click Join, and you’ll enter the session.
Live classes & video
- Powered by LiveKit for real-time video/audio.
- You can enable/disable mic and camera; chat is available inside the room.
- Be respectful: keep background noise low and follow polite turn-taking.
Safety & moderation
- You can report users or messages from the chat UI.
- Reports go to our moderation queue; status is reviewed server-side.
- Community rules: be respectful, no harassment/spam, protect personal info, keep content appropriate.
